RULES FOR ACCOMMODATION AT CASA D’ABREU NETO
Please read this document carefully. Confirmation of the reservation and respective payment constitute full acceptance of the conditions set out below.
Casa d’Abreu Neto is classified as a municipal monument of interest, representing architectural and emotional heritage of significant value. It belongs to the d’Abreu Neto Family and is the first work of the architect Álvaro Siza — a singular landmark where architecture, art and memory intertwine.
Carefully restored, it preserves the authenticity of its original features, combining contemporary and period furnishings, designer pieces, lighting, works of art and books of considerable architectural, patrimonial and sentimental value.
Guests are expected to use the House responsibly, sensibly and respectfully, in keeping with its unique character.
If you value authenticity, culture and history, your stay will be a truly distinctive Casa d’Abreu Neto experience.
Amenities
• Urban location, with easy access to services and public transport;
• Maximum capacity: 7 guests (entire house rental);
• Cot available upon prior request;
• Bathrooms equipped with towels, natural toiletries, hairdryer, weighing scales, tissues and toilet paper;
• Bedrooms with seasonally appropriate bed linen, bathrobes and slippers;
• Laundry facilities including washing machine, tumble dryer, detergents, drying rack, ironing board and iron;
• Garden with leisure area and outdoor furniture;
• Free parking available in the immediate vicinity, no reservation required;
• Wi-Fi, Smart TV, sound system, laser games and library;
• Safety equipment: fire extinguisher, fire blanket and first aid kit;
• Fully equipped kitchen (appliances, utensils and condiments);
• Breakfast available upon prior request, at an additional cost per person;
• Airport 8 km; railway station 15 km; metro 400 m; bus stop 200 m.
House Rules
During your stay, particular care must be taken with walls, floors, woodwork, natural stone, furnishings and the garden.
It is not permitted to:
• Smoke inside the House;
• Light candles or any type of fire (including in the garden);
• Hold parties or receive unregistered external visitors;
• Bring pets;
• Charge electric vehicles;
• Capture images or videos for commercial purposes without express authorisation;
• Use the property for purposes other than those agreed.
Additionally:
• Please respect quiet hours between 9:00 pm and 8:00 am;
• Close doors, windows and shutters whenever leaving the property;
• Store garden furniture overnight or when absent;
• Avoid foods and drinks that may stain fabrics and natural surfaces;
• Prevent food deterioration, avoiding odours and pests;
• Separate and dispose of waste correctly in the municipal containers;
• Any irregularity must be reported immediately using the contacts provided.
Serious breach of these rules may result in immediate termination of the stay without entitlement to refund, in accordance with applicable law.
Additional Information
• During the renovation carried out by Álvaro Siza, there was a clear concern to improve the thermal and acoustic conditions; however, although these may now prove to fall short of current requirements, this resulted from the necessary compromise between performance and the preservation of authenticity and the original design.
• Children are welcome under the constant supervision of a responsible adult;
• The property is not suitable for guests with reduced mobility;
• The property provides both a physical and an electronic Complaints Book, as required by law | Competent authority: ASAE;
• The owner accepts no responsibility for the loss of or damage to guests’ personal belongings;
• Guests are responsible for any damage caused to the property or its contents during their stay;
• Selected Casa Collection items may be purchased upon request;
• In all matters not expressly provided for herein, Portuguese legislation in force shall apply, namely the legal framework governing Local Accommodation.
