The Room
The living room is a space of encounter and union.
All the Festivities of Senhor de Matosinhos, Christmases, Easters, birthdays, took place in that living room, around the table and with the staircase as a backdrop.
The parties with vinyl records and time restrictions, theater plays and musical soirées happened on that floor and in that space.
The rain and sun are always seen from the armchairs while having a coffee, reading a book or simply enjoying a good conversation.
The end of dinner is celebrated with a glass of Port Wine designed by Álvaro Siza.

The Bedrooms
d'Abreu Neto Room
The room where Maria Manuel was born.
It opens to the balcony designed for all the d'Abreu, the Neto, the d'Abreu Neto, and anyone else connected by affinity.
The room that holds the memory of all the great events of the d'Abreu Neto family.
The one that symbolizes the identity of life experiences in the house.
Marias'Room
In tribute to all the Marias who were born, grew up, played, danced, worked and laughed in this house, this room is the space to remind us that we all have a small cornor of the home that is dear to us.
The challenge in this room is discovering how a small dresser also becomes a writing desk.
Boys'Room
This bedroom welcomed and watched the children of the homeowners grow, in different moments of chidhood and adolescence, carrying the memories of each generation.
It underwent several temporary remodels with posters autographed by theater actors of the time.
It was here that the children kept their secrets.
Guest Room
The bedroom overlooking the garden and one of the Quatro Casas, and therefore the quietest.
Over time, it welcomed the grandparents, the aunt, the cousins, friends, and their children.
Here, you will feel warmly received, as the Portuguese tradition of the North dictates.

The Kitchen
The Kitchen is a space of encounters and senses.
When we enter the kitchen, we are embraced by an atmosphere that inspires us want to cook, explore, reflet and converse.
It's fun!
The ochre glass tile is a flight into the universe of the Catalan Antoni Gaudí, causing sudden wonder and surprise. Just like the serving hatch. It is not merely an architectural detail - it is a symbolic, practical, and special element, designed to ensure that nothing is missing from the table.
All the appliances have been rethought to remind us of what is original and authentic.
The chimney is a sculpture, a unique work of art, and an incomparable act of imagination.
Let us contemplate, cook, and enjoy in order to nourish both body and soul.
The Bathrooms

Fully rehabilitated by Architect Álvaro Siza.
All sanitary ware and faucets were chosen by the author.
The excellence and historic quality of the Portuguese ceramic industry is honored with the Neoclassical line from Valadares.
After the shower, wrapping yourself in the bathrobe and slipping on the slippers with the logo designed by Siza transforms an everyday gesture into a unique moment.
The detail of pulling the toilet flush chain reminds us all of our grandparents' house.

Fernanda Room
In this space are kept the objects that evoke the family's most special memories, such as photographs, drawings, documents, and books to be admired and explored.
It was also here that the children had tutoring, lived moments of dedicated study, and where the sound of the piano played by two generations could be heard.
On the wall, in a place of honor, hangs the framed original plan of the house, dated 1956 and only signed by Álvaro Siza 55 years later, since at the time he had not yet completed his studies.
Here we feel part not only of the history of the d'Abreu Neto family, but also of the very history of Portuguese architecture.
Our Architect's Office

Fernando Room
Maria Manuel's first bedroom: what do these walls hold?
It was here, in this corner, that she slept and dreamed.
During the festive seasons of Senhor de Matosinhos, this bedroom welcomed those who came from near anf far, filling it with the livelinesse and overlapping conversations typical of those days of celebration.
Later, it could become the serene refuge of the master of the house, where there was time for his crosswords, to cheer for his beloved Benfica, to relive memories, or simply to savor the calm of a good book.
Support Room

Outdoor Area
Thrugh Fiipe Coelho's gate only importante visitors and the Easter Father's "Compasso" would enter. The Avenue gate, however, was the service entrance of the house for family and friends, bearing witness to innocent romances and to curious gaze of the dogs watching those who passed by.
The garage, transformed into an improvised stage, hosted the lively teenage parties of Maria Manuel.
The trees and flowers still cultivated by the lady of the house, together with the plaque on the garden wall, preserve the memory of all the family's "faithful friends" who once lived there .
Where clothes used to be dried, today one sunbathes; where once stood a chicken coop designed by a Portuguese Pritzker, there is now a laundry room.
In the garden where children used to run and play, we now sit to read a book and enjoy the view of the emblematic living room.
On the wall rests the helm of the fishing boat "Nossa Senhora da Guia", placed there in honor of the family's origins, despite the reluctance of the project's author.
It remains there, side by side with the belvedere that sheltered courtships and conversations, as if both dad always belonged to the very essence of the house.
This is the Casa D'Abreu Neto.
A house with soul.
Casa d'Abreu Neto would like to thank photographers Francisco Cruz and Pedro Cardigo for their sensitivity and talent in capturing the essence of this space through his images.
